What is the difference between Interior Design and Redesign?
Professional Interior Designers create highly individual, custom interiors for their clients using all new furniture, fabrics, and finishes. They specialize in spatial planning, the flow and function of all the rooms in the house, and in all the architecture and decorating styles. The projects are involved and can take many months to complete.
Redesign uses the furniture, art, accessories and lighting you already own to create a gorgeous new look for your rooms. Your Showhouse professional interior designer will use the same design expertise to transform your home with quick and dramatic results at an affordable price. The goal is to use what you have, but in some cases a new purchase or two can greatly enhance the overall appeal of the room. We will provide you with suggestions and a source book so you can make the purchases yourself on your own time schedule.

How Does It Work?
We begin with a pre-appointment phone call to assess your project and review the online questionnaire you have filled out for us– this helps you to make the most of your time with your Showhouse designer. At this time we will discuss your decorating plans and what you would like your redesign to accomplish. Plan on spending up to 30 minutes on this call.
Once in your home, your Showhouse designer will assess the space, light and architecture all in a relaxed and informal way then offer specific ideas and techniques using your existing furnishings and accessories to meet your goals. We will then “shop” your home for pieces that can be used in different ways to complete the look. Every person is unique and décor is a personal thing, which greatly effects how you feel.
It’s our goal to help you feel great in your home.
The goal is to use what you have but in some cases a new purchase or two can greatly enhance the overall appeal of the room. If this is the case we will provide you with suggestions and a source book so you can make the purchases yourself on your own time schedule and according to your budget.
The personalized in-home consultation is $450.00 for 90 minutes. Additional time may be booked in 90-minute increments or purchase a Day of Design for $1,500.00. Showhouse designers are efficient, highly skilled professionals with extensive knowledge in architectural and decorating styles and can accomplish a great deal in a short time. The length of your consultation will depend on the complexity and scale of the rooms to be redesigned.
What if I need a little more than redesign?
For larger projects that may need more than a few hours we offer packages of design services customized to your needs and we would be happy to discuss them with you.
What do I have to buy?
You simply buy as much design time as you need to accomplish your redesign goals.
